Interment followed in the Zwolle Cemetery. Rev. Bill Hoffman officiated the services. Mr. Jones passed away at his residence on November 26. He is a native of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and a resident of Sabine Parish for fifty years. He was an International Harvester, Shreveport, retiree. He was the oldest man in active membership of the First Baptist Church of Zwolle. He is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Pearl Rivers Jones of Noble; three daughters, and families, Sue Lynn, Gene and Lee Myers of Mansfield, Nelda Rae and Jerry Callens of Smithville, Texas, Kevin, Kim, and Matthew Ray Callens of Giddings, Texas, Micah, Ray, Melinda, and Calley Rae Callens of Smithville, Texas, and Connie Ruth, Lloyd, Wendy Lynn, and Justin Carl Byers of Shreveport; two brothers, Herman Jones of Tuscaloosa, and Bert Jones of Attalla, Alabama; two sisters, Ruth Caffee Baines of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and Mary Alyne Jones of Huntsville, Alabama; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Wayne Brandon, Rob Ebarb, Calvin Jones, Michael Pearce, Bobby Simmons, Ernest Stanfield, and Sherman Tatum. Honorary pallbearers were Golden Age Sunday School Class of Zwolle First Baptist Church. He was "one of the best" husband, father, and good provider, and a friend to all.
