Verda Sibley Jones

  Funeral services for Mrs. Verda Sibley Jones, 76, were held at 2
p.m., Saturday, June 30, at Beulah Baptist Church. Interment
followed in Beulah Cemetery, under the direction of Warren
Meadows Funeral Home. Rev. Kenneth Leach Sr., and Rev. Vernon
Stephenson officiated.

  Mrs. Jones died June 27, at South Park Guest Care Center,
Shreveport.

  She is survived by three daughters, Frances Rogers of Mansfield,
Carolyn Claunch of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Madalyn Mathis of Gray
Summit Missouri; one sister, Lillian Sibley of Many; one brother,
Harold Sibley of Newport News, Virginia; eight grandchildren,
Danny Rogers, Bruce Rogers, C? Claunch, Keith Claunch, Ryan
Claunch, David Mathis, Susan Mathis Huebner, Deborah Mathis; four
great grandsons, William Rogers, Mark Rogers, Joshua Mathis,
Thomas Huebner III, and a host of nieces and nephews.

  She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Daniel D. Jones;
her parents, Marshall Benton, and Lillian Easley Sibley; her
brothers and sisters, Thomas Sibley, Roy Sibley, Bertha Sibley
Duggan, Ivan Sibley Felts, Elva Sibley Kelly, Claudie Sibley
Merritt, Pierce Sibley, Anna Sibley Davenport, Lawrence Sibley,
and Cecil Sibley.
