Mrs. Charlotte Johnson

  Mrs. Charlotte Hightower Johnson, 90, of Negreet died Wednesday,
Jan 21 at a local hospital after an extended illness.

  Survivors include five daughters; Mrs. Obeary Wash of Leesville,
Mrs. Lovella Felix of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Martha E. Richard of Many,
Mrs. Blanch Drew of Negreet, and Mrs. Lurlene Trishell of Leesville;
also two sons, Artis Johnson, and Payton Johnson, both of Many; 24
grandchildren; 74 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren,
and a host of neices, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

  Funeral services were held at Antioch Baptist Church in Negreet.
Funeral oration was by the Rev. D. A. Jones of Shreveport, and the
Rev. N. P. Jones, and the Rev. S. Lilly, officiating. Burial was in
Negreet Cemetery under the direction of Jenkins Funeral Home.
