Johnson Funeral services for Chester Henry Johnson, 64, Belcher resident, and principal of Trinity Heights Christian Academy, who died at 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 8, at his home in Shreveport, following a sudden illness, were held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 10, at the Brookwood Baptist church. Officiating was Dr. Billy McCormack, pastor of Belcher Baptist Church, the Rev. Jerry Green, pastor of Brookwood Baptist Church, the Rev. Richard May, pastor of the Doyline Baptist Church, and the Rev. Loyd Brown of Lisbon. Burial was in Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of the Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel. A native of Many, and resident of Belcher for 26 years, Mr. Johnson was a former principal of the Shongaloo and Sibley high schools. He was a deacon of the Belcher First Baptist Church, and a member of the Masonic Lodge in Southern Hills. Survivors include his wife; two sons, David R. Johnson of Houston, Tex., and Tommy C. Johnson of Decatur, Ill.; one daughter, Mrs. Leah Joyce of Pineville, and two grandchildren.
