The Sabine Index - Mrs. Amanda Johnson

  7 Apr 1944 - Last rites for Mrs. Amanda Johnson, age 52 years,
were held at 3 p.m. Monday at Beulah Baptist church. Rev. B. W.
Flanagan of Bastrop officiated, assisted by Rev. R. C. Ayres,
Dennis-Green funeral home in charge.

  Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Clara Lee Cain, Mrs.
Beatrice Phillips, Mrs. Bethel Hippler, all of Beaumont, Texas;
son, Willard Paul Johnson of Many; five sisters, Mrs. Ellen
Ayres, Mrs. Mennie Lovelady, Mrs. Elva Hippler, Mrs. Florence
Armstrong, all of Many, and Mrs. Bell Lovelady of Florien; three
brothers, Charlie, Calvin and Jesse Bass, all of Many, and four
grandchildren.
