Odeal Gandy Jenkins

  Mrs. Odeal Gandy Jenkins, 63, a life-long resident of Many, died
April 8, 2000 at IHS North Nursing Center in Many, after a brief
illness.

  She is retired from Phares and Lites Insurance Company as a
secretary.

  Services were held at Pilgrim's Rest Baptist Church in Many
Sunday, April 9, 2000, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Michael Henderson
officiated. Interment followed at Oak Hill Baptist Church in
Many.

  She is preceeded in death by her husband, Fermer Jenkins, and
one brother, Samuel Vince Gandy, Jr.

  Survivors include one daughter, Dale Jones, and husband Ralph of
Many; two sisters, Vonciel Kickel of Baton Rouge, and Cocine
Marek, and husband Frank of Lake Charles; two grandchildren,
Carla Jones of Many, and Tracy Jones, and wife Sherry of Many,
and step-great grandchildren, Emily and Michael Geoghagan, both
of Many.

  Pallbearers were Tracy Jones, Robert Titus, Chad Miller, Ben
Speights, Caroll Salley, and Dub Gentry.
