Robert M. Johnson

  Robert Melvin Johnson, 76, of Pleasant Hill, died in a
Shreveport hospital Monday afternoon, Nov. 22.

  Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 24, in the
Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, with the Rev. Gerald Roberts, Rev.
Cody Salter, and Rev. Vernon Stevenson officiating. Burial was in
Spring Ridge Cemetery, with Masonic graveside services.

  Survivors include his widow; Mrs. Cleo Johnson; four sons,
Robert Glenn Johnson, Trentis Van Johnson, and Benton M. Johnson,
all of Pleasant Hill, and David L. Johnson of Hardin, Tex.; three
daughters, Mrs. Emily Dillard of Pleasant Hill, Mrs. Yvonne
Rogers of Ferriday, Mrs. Linda Harris of Many; one brother, O. P.
Johnson of Minden; two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Harper of Houston,
Tex., and Mrs. Mertis Almond of Ruston; 18 grandchildren, one
great grandchild.
