Memorial services were held at 3 p.m., Friday, July 7, at Grace Church in DeRidder. The Rev. George Lee Glass, and the Rev. A. Ray Faulk officiated. Mr. Johnson was a native of Cravens, and formerly lived in DeRidder prior to moving to Negreet. He graduated from Pitkin High School. He was a sandblaster in construction. Survivors include his widow, Gwen Labit Johnson of Toledo Bend; six sons, David A. Johnson of Lafayette, Daniel A. Johnson of Elizabeth, Darryl A. Johnson of DeRidder, Donald A. Johnson of Charleston, S. C., Chip Miller of Abbeville, and Beau Johnson of Florien; three sisters, Kokie Gill, and Betty Cunningham, both of DeRidder, and Maggie Afeman of LeCompte; two brothers, James A. Johnson of Warren, Texas, and John Ray Johnson of DeRidder; mother, Ezell Johnson of DeRidder;; and 11 grandchildren.
