Calvin D. Johnson

  Calvin Douglas Johnson, 35, of Florien, died at 12:30 p.m., at
Fraser Hospital North on Tuesday, March 24, following a short
illness.

  Mr. Johnson was born on Sept. 26, 1945, to Leroy Johnson and
Mrs. Mackie B. Conley Johnson. He accepted Christ at an early
age, and was baptized by the late Rev. L. W. Watkins.

  On Oct. 3, 1970, he married Alice Marie Charles. To this union,
five children were born.

  Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Alice Johnson, two daughters,
Tabitha Annette Johnson, and Tammy Michelle Johnson; three sons,
Calvin Douglas Johnson, Jr., Carey Dean Johnson, and Corey Lean
Johnson, all of Florien; his parents, Mr. Leroy Johnson Sr., and
Mrs. Mackie B. Conley Johnson, both of Florien; three sisters,
Ruthie Lee Jackson of Humble, Tex., Annie Lee Smith of
Shreveport, and Tina Marie Johnson of Florien; four brothers,
Leroy Johnson Jr. of San Francisco, Calif., Robert Milton
Johnson, and Otis Lee Johnson, both of Florien; two grandmothers,
Mrs. Bessie Johnson, and Annie B. Conley, both of Florien; aunts,
uncles, nieces, and nephews, and a host of friends.
