Opal Elizabeth Jenkins

  Services for Mrs. Opal Elizabeth Jenkins, 70, of Longview, Tex.,
were at 4 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 22, at Welch Funeral Home Chapel
in Longview, the Rev. George Trussell, and Rev. Ernest Freeman
officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Longview.

  Mrs. Jenkins, a native of Louisiana, died Tues., Jan. 20, in a
Longview hospital.

  Survivors include her husband, George B. Jenkins, Longview; one
son, Garland H. Weeks, Houma, La.; three daughters, Gloria Weeks
Elliott, Greenwood, La., Barbara Weeks Allen, Mansfield, La., and
Sharon Jenkins Kilgore, Gladewater, Texas; eight step children;
one step brother, Carney F. Tyler, Converse, La.; one sister,
Julia Mae Cooper, Pleasant Hill, La.; 13 grandchildren; 33 step
grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
