Mr. Johnson was buried in the Shiloh Cemetery, Saturday, March 24, following 10 a.m. services in the United Pentecostal Church of Noble. Officiating were Bro. C. W. Hogan, and Bro. Elsie Walker. Services were under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home in Many. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Katharine M. Johnson of Converse; two daughters, Patsy D. Johnson, San Antonio, Tex., and Natlie Lynette Johnson, Converse; four sisters, Victoria McLeland, Fresno, Calif., Naomi Thiberville, Alexandria, La., Lucille Angallo, Alexandria, La., and Eunice Funderburk, Many; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Johnson worked as a printer for the Sabine Index for several years in the 1960's. Pallbearers were Robert Gentry, Joe Leggett, Jimmy Leggett, A. J. Leggett, Tommy Leggett Jr., and Gerald Stoffels. Honorary pallbearers were L. H. Williams, Alex Leggett, and Larry Vines.
