Officiating was Rev. Charles Duncan, and the Rev. Vernon Stephenson. Burial was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Rose-Neath's Mansfield Chapel. Mrs. Johnson died Wednesday, September 5, in the North Sabine Nursing Center, following a lengthy illness. She was born in Mississippi, and had lived in Pleasant Hill most of her life. She was a homemaker, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Pleasant Hill. Survivors include her husband of 67 years, A. D. Johnson Sr. of Pleasant Hill; two sons, W. Salter Johnson of Benton, and A. D. Johnson Jr. of Pleasant Hill; one sister, Mrs. H. J. Johnson of Shreveport; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
