Officiating was the Rev. Roach, pastor of Quitman Baptist Church. Assisting was the Rev. Bob Phillips, pastor of First Baptist Church in Converse. Burial followed in Converse Cemetery, under the direction of Rose-Neath's Mansfield Chapel. Mrs. Johnson passed away Sunday, June 2, at Bossier Medical Center. She was a native of Sardis, La., and had been a lifelong resident of the Converse community. She was a homemaker, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Converse. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, A. C. Johnson. She is survived by one son, Tatum Johnson of Baton Rouge; two daughters, Thelma Tyler of Benton, and Betty Fuller of Russellville, Ark.; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Malcolm Johnson, Chester Tatum, Sherman Tatum, Dickey Oakley, William Ryals, and Eddie Ryals.
