The Rev. Brian Jennings officiated. Burial was held at Hickory Grove Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mr. Jenkins died at 6:49 a.m., on June 24, at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport, La. Mr. Jenkins served in the Aleutian Islands during World War II. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Ray Jenkins, and a granddaughter, Rhonda Jo Jennings. He is survived by seven daughters, Mar Jo Jennings and her husband Hulon of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Judy Long of Redwater, Texas, Hannah LaCour and her husband Dickie of Palmer, Alaska, Monita Olive and her husband R. B. of Little Rock, Arkansas, LaFaune DuBois of Bossier City, La., Wafa Dean Manasco and her husband Bobbie of Robeline, La., Dawnn Jordan and her husband Cecil of Robeline, La.; one son, Joe Jenkins and his wife Betty of Ashdown, Arkansas; two sisters, Adeline Daugherty of Bon Weir, Texas, Mary Jordan of Robeline, La.; one brother, Lee Jenkins of Campti, La.; 21 grandchildren, Scott Jennings, Richard Jennings, Stacey Jennings, Senta Hutto, Shelby C. Hutto, Chris LaCour, Lisa LaCour, Juliette LaCour, Tammy Jenkins, Jennifer Jenkins, Vincent Olive, Suzanne Olive, Harrison Mujica, Delfin Mujica, Michael Jenkins, Lee Lee DuBois, Andy Manasco, Caleb Manasco, Nickie Jordan, Troy Jordan, Huey Jenkins; and 5 great grandchildren, Alex Jennings, Ryan Jennings, Lauren Jennings, Austin Jennings, and Sierra Jenkins. Pallbearers were Rich Jennings, Shelby C. Hutto, Andy Jenkins, Jack Jenkins, R. B. Olive, Mike Solice, Jerry Lamber, Charles Youngblood. Honorary pallbearers were Albert Jenkins, Dewel Lee Jenkins, and Paul Dupree.
