Johnson Sr., 90, of Pleasant Hill, were held Saturday, Feb. 19, 1994, at 10 a.m., in the First Baptist Church in Pleasant Hill. Officiating was Rev. Charles Duncan, and Rev. Vernon Stephenson. Interment followed in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Rose-Neath's Mansfield Chapel. Mr. Johnson died Thursday, Feb. 17, in the North Sabine Nursing Center. He was born in Red Bay, Ala., and had lived much of his life in Pleasant Hill, where he was a member of the First Baptist Church. He is survived by two sons and their wives, Walter and Mary Jane Johnson of Benton, A. D. and Susan Johnson of Pleasant Hill; two sisters, and two brothers, Mattie Richardson of Big Springs, Tex., Elnora Crawford of Waverly, Ala., Robert Johnson of Henderson, Tex., and Phillip Johnson; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Mark Johnson, Paul Johnson, Walter Johnson Jr., Rusty Johnson, Jeff Horne, and Harold Dillard.
