Rev. John Thibeau, pastor of First Baptist Church in Pleasant Hill, officiated. Burial followed in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Mr. Johnson, a native, and resident of Pleasant Hill, died March 5, 1995, in Willis-Knighton Medical Center. He was a welding supervisor. He was preceded in death by his brother, R. G. Johnson. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Johnson of Pleasant Hill; sons, Trentice Van Johnson Jr., Phoenix City, Ala., Robert Hugh Johnson of Shreveport; daughter, Jane Renee Johnson Smith, Shreveport; sisters, Yvonne Rodgers, Emily Dillard, both of Pleasant Hill, Linda Harris of Many; brothers, D. L. Johnson, Hardin, Tex., Benton M. Johnson, Pleasant Hill; granddaughter, Laura Ann Smith; grandsons, Curtis Randall Smith Jr.; and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Thomas Hardee, Albert Thomas, Bobby Dillard, Hugh Hardee, James Veuleman, Jerry Saddler, Roy Bridges, and Sidney Sanders.
