Horace Johnson, Sr.

  Funeral services for Horace Johnson Sr., who died unexpectedly
Wednesday, Dec. 9, were held Friday in the Calvary Baptist Church
in Shreveport. The Rev. Martin, pastor of the Calvary Church
officiated. Assisted by the Rev. H. H. Buchanan.

  Burial was in the Spring Ridge Cemetery.

  Survivors are the widow; three sons, Travis L., Harold, and
Horace J. Johnson Jr. of Shreveport; one daughter, Mrs. James
Weldon, Shreveport; four brothers, J. W., R. E., and P. O.
Johnson of Shreveport, and A. D. Johnson of Pleasant Hill; four
sisters, Mrs. Culley Jacobs, and Mrs. M. P. Rivers of Pleasant
Hill, Mrs. Jasper Richardson of Marshall, Texas, and Mrs. Bill
Minter of Waverly, Ala.
