Dr. James Hill, pastor of the church, officiated. Burial with Eastern Star graveside rites, were at Chapelwood Cemetery in Vivian, La. Mrs. Jendro, a resident of Blanchard for five years, died Wednesday, June 11, 1986, at Schumpert Medical Center in Shreveport, after a long illness. She was born in Hornbeck, La., and was a former resident of Shreveport. Mrs. Jendro was a member of the O. E. S., and was a past Matron of the Ruby G. Eustace Chapter, Rodessa, and a member of the Victory Chapter No. 135 of Shreveport. She is survived by her husband, Mr. James L. Jendro of Blanchard; her mother, Mrs. Tishie Presley; and stepfather, Mr. Sidney Presley of Florien; one son, Daniel Wayne West of Killen, Texas; two daughters, Connie Annette Oakes of Knoxville, Tenn., and Lana Elizabeth Davis of Rodessa, La.; one sister, Sybil Von Behren of Augusta, Ga.; two brothers, Mitchell McDaniel of Shreveport, and Michael Presley of Bay City, Texas; three grandchildren, Alison Oakes of Knoxville, Tenn., Marcus and Jason Davis of Rodessa, La.; three nieces; and two nephews. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, or the Baptist Children's Home in Monroe, La.
