Jennings Services for Maggie Sandifer Jennings, 65, of Shreveport, were held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, at the South Side Chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Shreveport. Officiating was the Rev. Dwain Wilemon, pastor of New Testament Baptist Church, and the Rev. Foster Jennings, pastor of Bethel Methodist Church. Burial was in Beulah Cemetery at Marthaville. Mrs. Jennings lay in state at Beulah Methodist Church for one hour, beginning at 3 p.m., Wednesday. Mrs. Jennings died at 10:45 p.m., Monday, at Willis-Knighton Memorial Hospital, after a short illness. A native of Marthaville, she had lived in Shreveport 13 years. She was a housewife. Survivors include two sons, Wayne Jennings, and DeLane Jennings, both of Shreveport; two daughters, Charlotte Davis, and Mrs. Carroll Hutchinson, both of Shreveport; one sister, Mrs. Willie Smith of Coushatta; five brothers, E. A. Sandifer, V. L. Sandifer, and J. G. Sandifer, all of Shreveport, Lloyd Sandifer of Butterfield Oaks, Calif., and D. T. Sandifer of Portland, Ore.; and 10 grandchildren.
