All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Lawrence Jennings Services were held for Mr. Lawrence Jennings, 88, of Shreveport, at 3 p.m., Friday, July 2, at the Beulah Methodist Church near Marthaville, where Mr. Jennings as a member. Rev. Foster Jennings, pastor of Bethel Church, officiated. Burial was at Beulah Cemetery. He died at 7:55 p.m., Wednesday, June 30, at LSU Medical center, after a short illness. Mr. Jennings, born in Marthaville, La., and a resident of Shreveport, the last few years, was a U. S. Army veteran of World War I. He is survived by three sons, A. W. Jennings of Marthaville, J. C. Jennings of Shreveport, Troy Bruce of Morenci, Ariz.; three daughters, Omega Williams, and Gloria Goldsby of Shreveport, Reba Orgeran of Opelousas, La.; one sister Clarise McBride of Marthaville, La.; two brothers, Leo Jennings of Marthaville, La., Cam Jennings of Marshall, Tex.; 17 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews.
