Viola S. Jennings

  Services for Mrs. Viola S. Jennings, 82, of Marthaville, were
held at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 30, at the Jennings Chapel
Congregational Methodist Church of Marthaville. Dr. Walter Bruce
officiated, assisted by Edwin Fenton. Burial was at Bethany
Cemetery at Marthaville.

  Mrs. Jennings, born in Booneville, Miss., and a resident of
Marthaville most of her life, died Thursday morning, July 28, at
Pleasant Hill.

  She is survived by four sons, the Rev. Foster Jennings, and Ray
Jennings of Marthaville, Oscar Jennings, and Nathan Jennings of
Shreveport; two daughters, Mrs. Artie Dees, and Mrs. Eurith
McDaniel of Baytown, Tex.; four brothers, Dallas Stockton of
Natchitoches, La., Woodrow Stockton of Rayville, J. K. Stockton
of Alexandria, Harvey Stockton of Shreveport; three sisters, Mrs.
Verdie Buford, and Mrs. Tula Cox of Shreveport, Mrs. Evelyn
Vandiver of Mansfield, La.; 16 grandchildren; and 17 great
grandchildren.
