Luther O. Jennings

  Services for Mr. Luther O. Jennings, 82, of Marthaville, were
held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 5, in the Jennings Chapel of
Congregational Methodist Church in Marthaville. The Rev. Edwin
Fenton officiated, assisted by Rev. Foster Jennings. Burial was
at Bethany Cemetery in Marthaville.

  Mr. Jennings died Monday, August 3, 1987, in Marthaville,
following a short illness.

  He is survived by two sons, Hilton Jennings of Shreveport, and
Phillip Jennings of Atlanta, Ga.; three daughters, Maxine
Birdwell of Marthaville, Dorothy Rachal of Natchitoches, and
Maurice Wilkins of Shreveport; three brothers, William S.
Jennings of Shongaloo, La., Otha Jennings of Greensboro, N. C.,
and Thomas Jennings of Marthaville; nine grandchildren; and ten
great grandchildren.
