Foster Jennings were held at 1 p.m., Monday, in Bethel Congregational Methodist Church near Pleasant Hill, La., with Rev. Melvin Smith, and Rev. Mike Gary officiating. Burial was held in Jennings Chapel Cemetery near Marthaville, La., under the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Rev. Jennings, 73, of Marthaville, La., died at 6:17 p.m., Saturday, in Schumpert Medical Center in Shreveport, La. He is survived by his wife, Vera E. Jennings of Marthaville, La.; two sons, Dale Jennings of Lonoke, Ark., and Rev. Brian Jennings of Marthaville, La.; three daughters, Carita Mitchell, Sharon Goings, and Carmen Davis, all of Marthaville, La.; two sisters, Artie Dees, and Eurith McDaniel, both of Baytown, Tex.; three brothers, Ray Jennings of Marthaville, La., Oscar Jennings of Shreveport, La., and Nathan Jennings of Tenaha, Tex.; nine grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Rev. Wesley Harralson, Rev. Elton Jenkins, Rev. Kenny Martin, Rev. Raymond Shoemaker, Rev. Ed Fenton, Rev. William Hasson, Rev. Daniel Paul Lewing, and Rev. Douglas Feazel.
