The Sabine Index - George Jordan 
  
  3 Nov 1939 - Last rites for George Jordan was held last 
Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Zion Hill Church, with interment in 
the Zion Hill Cemetery. Revs. C. W. Williams and G. W. Bailey 
officiating and the funeral being directed by the Dennis-Green 
Funeral Home. 
  
  Surviving are the widow, Thelma Salter Jordan; also his parents 
Mr. and Mrs. George Jordan and six brothers and sisters. 
  
  Mr. Jordan was accidently killed last Tuesday when a log fell as 
he was loosening a binder to unload is truck at the Fisher mill. 
He died instantly.
