All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Clarence Homer Jordan, Sr. Funeral services for Mr. Clarence Homer Jordan, Sr., were held at the First Baptist Church of Florien on Tuesday, Sept. 21, at 5 p.m. Burial was at Florien Cemetery, with Bro. Mack Brister, Bro. Avon Cavanaugh, and Bro. Delman Rogers officiating. Services were under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mr. Jordan, a native of Florien, died at the Natchitoches Parish Hospital, Sept. 19, at the age of 84. Mr. Jordan is survived by his wife, Bertha Petty Jordan of Florien; two sons, Clarence H. Jordan of Natchitoches, Wayne Jordan of Lake Charles; one brother, J. Clyde Jordan, Florien; two sisters, Bessie J. Callens, Fisher, Leola J. Micek of Casper, Wym.; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers were Melton Wright, Lamar Salter, W. G. Lilly, Regonial Turner, Kermit Herrington, Glen Goss, Sid Lucius, and Quinton Corley. Honorary pallbearers were additional Deacons of the First Baptist Church of Florien. Mr. Jordan was a member of Florien First Baptist Church since 1949, and he had been a Deacon for the past 58 years. He was an active Deacon at the time of his death. Mr. Jordan was also a member of the Masonic Fraternity, and the Florien Lions Club. In leu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Baptist Children's Home in Monroe.
