Mr. Jordan was a member of the Fist Baptist Church, Florien, Past Worshipful Master of Masonic Lodge-Florien #263, having received the 50 year Membership Award, and a Veteran of World War II. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 25, at First Baptist Church of Florien, with interment following at Antioch Cemetery. The Rev. Bobby Franklin, the Rev. Jack Perkins, and Elder Jan Dean officiated. Survivors include his widow, Gloria Jordan of Florien; daughter, Debra and husband Jan Dean of Natchitoches; son, David Jordan of Florien; daughter, Mary and husband Alan Kelly of San Diego, Calif.; sister, Mrs. Gerald (Annie Mae) Calsbeck of Orange, City, Iowa; brother, Charles B. Jordan of Las Cruces, N. M.; five grandsons, Matthew Dean, Kenneth Ellzey, Christopher Jordan, David Jordan Jr., and Michael Jordan; four granddaughters, Shannon Dean, Amber Ellzey, Errin Ellzey, and Rachel and husband Brant Perot; one great grandson, William Ellzey; and a host of nieces nephews, and friends. Pallbearers were Gene Christian, Buddy Earl, Rodney Jordan, Eddie Jordan, Morris Earl Welch, and Alan Jordan.
