Mrs. Bertha P. Jordan

  Services for Bertha P. Jordan, 89, were held at 10:30 a.m.,
Friday, August 23, at Warren Meadows Chapel. Officiating were
Rev. Mack Brister, and Rev. Delmon Rogers. Burial followed in
Florien Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral
Home.

  Bertha P. Jordan died Wednesday, August 21, at Natchitoches
Parish Hospital, Natchitoches, La.

  She is survived by two sons, C. H. Jordan Jr. and his wife Jean
of Natchitoches, and Wayne Jordan and his wife Betty of Lake
Charles; one sister, Mamie Conerly of Florien; one brother, R. J.
Petty of Florien; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren;
and a host of nieces and nephews.

  Pallbearers included Melton Wright, W. R. Turner, W. O. Lilly,
Jimmy Hughes, W. L. Dees, and Sidney Lucius.

  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to the
Masonic Children's Home, First Baptist Church of Florien, or
Prospect Methodist Church.
