Jordan of Zwolle, La., passed away at Sabine Medical Center, Thursday, July 14. Mr. Jordan, a native of Norfolk, Va., was born March 20, 1931. He served in the United States Coast Guard from March 1947 until February 1972, with duty stations in Virginia, Hawaii, Louisiana, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Mr. Jordan is survived by his wife, Martha Jordan of Zwolle, La.; a daughter, Dorothy Canty and husband Clayton of Morgan City, La.; three sons, James E. Jordan and wife Mary of Crestview, Fla., Garland K. Jordan and wife Robbin of Graceville, Fla., Brian W. Jordan and wife Cindy of Barhamville, Va.; ten grandchildren, Steven Herbert II, and Emily Coates of Morgan City, La., Silas, Jamie, Christopher, and Bethany of Crestview, Fla., Andy, and Paige Jordan of Graceville, Fla., Matthew, and Phillip Jordan of Barhamville, Va.; also surviving is his mother, Louise Hughes of Chesapeake, Va.; a brother, Toy L. Jordan Jr. of Virginia Beach, Va.; two sisters, Dorothy Pebbles of Charlotte, N. C., and Phyllis Kemp of Chesapeake, Va. Mr. Jordan donated his body to LSU Medical Center in Shreveport, La. A memorial service was held at Calvary Baptist Church in Many, on July 17, at 2 p.m. The family wishes to thank Bro. Bobby Dye, Bro. Gerald McCleskey, Joe Dubose, Dr. Bob Alladyce, and the Calvary Family for ministering to us during this time.
