Last rites were conducted 2 p.m. Monday at Shamrock Methodist church by Revs. Shoemaker and Gray, followed by interment under direction of Massingill funeral home. Rev. A. D. Ashby of Blanchard conducted the last rites from Spring Ridge Baptist church at 3 p.m. Interment was under direction of Massingill funeral home. Surviving are: sons, Tom Cole, Belmont, Acker and Bill Cole, Shreveport; daughters, Mrs. Martha Brown, Marthaville, Mrs. O. F. D. C. Dale 17 Jan 1947 - Funeral rites for Rev. D. C. Dale, age 74 years, of Provencal were held at Provencal 2 p.m. Monday with Rev. Muse of Woodsworth officiating. Interment was in Provencal cemetery under direction of Massingill funeral home. Rev. Dale expired at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Pearl Jones of Provencal. Leopold, age 46, died at Mayo clinic, Rochester, Minn., at 4 p.m. Monday, following an operation. Funeral rites will be held 2:30 p.m. Friday, Jan 10 at the First Baptist church with the pastor, Rev. J. C. Cement, officiating assisted by Rev. C. W. Williams of DeRidder and Rev. Burckner of Jonesboro. Interment will be in the Mancy cemetery, Massingill funeral home directing. Pallbearers will be Roy Alford, A. L. Head, Lawson Arrington, Kenneth Nichols, Milton C. Hall and Joe Dover. Honorary pallbearer, all school board members and high school principals of the parish. Surviving are: wife, Mrs. Wilma Williams Leopold, daughter of Mrs. J. D. Williams and the late J. D. Williams; an adopted daughter, Pegy Ann Leopold; two brothers, C. G. Leopold, San Antonio, Texas, R. N. Leopold, Baton Rouge, sister, Ms. W. H. Potts, Laurel, Miss., and several aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces. Mr. Leopold was prominent in school affairs of Sabine parish for 29 years, having served as a teacher in Florien for three years, 10 years as principal of Florien high school, 14 years principal of Many high school and at the time of his death had served two years as parish visiting teacher. He was a Mason, member of the Eastern Star and the Baptist church. Fortenberry of Newton, Texas officiating. Interment was in Pisgah cemetery under direction of Massingill funeral home. She is survived by her husband, W. R. McMillon of Toro. Nieces attending the funeral were Mrs. Pearl Miller and Mrs. Jospeh Byrd. Mr. and Mrs. McMillon came to Louisiana from Alabama in 1896, settling at Toro.
