Mr. Reeves was killed in an auto crash about two miles north of Many in the early part of the night of July 4. Having been carried to the Fraser sanitarium, he passed away 6:45 Friday, July 5, age 48 years. Mrs. Reeves had been superintendent of the Sabine parish schools since 1921, coming to Many from Florien, where he served as principal of the Florien high school. After graduation from the Norman he became principal of the Florien high school, later doing summer work at Centenary college and Louisiana State university. The 19 years Mr. Reeves spent as superintendent of the schools of Sabine parish he worked almost unceasingly in the work of promoting better school and facilities for the schools, truly playing a major part in bringing the schools up to the present standards.
