Goodloe 18 Jul 1941 - Last rites for Mrs. R. K. Goodloe, age 74 years, were held at the Beulah church Monday at 3 p.m., Rev. E. E. Fields of Leesville and Rev. Landry of Kurthwood officiating. Funeral directed by the Dennis-Green funeral home. W. B. Bailey officiating. The Dennis funeral home of Leesville directed the interment in the Pine Grove cemetery. Funeral arrangements were in charge of the Drewitt funeral home of Mansfield with the Rev. J. D. Scott of Many officiating with burial in the Bethsadia cemetery. C. W. Williams and Rev. Ernest Lilley officiating, funeral directed by Dennis-Green funeral home, interment Siloam cemetery. Surviving: wife, Mary Lee Stroud; two daughters, Ethel and Louise; father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Stroud; two brothers, Raymond of Camp Blanding, Roy of Negreet; two sisters, Mrs. Daisy Anthony and Mrs. Jewel Salter of Negreet. Mr. Stroud was killed accidently Saturday evening. He had gone to feed his hogs; while climbing a rail fence his gun was accidently discharged. **************************************************************** Obituaries: Tommie Walker, Sabine Parish W-426 Source: Sabine Index, Many, La., Jul 4, 1941 Submitted by: Tammy Larche-Smith tammy@cp-tel.net The Sabine Index - Tommie Walker 4 Jul 1941 - Tommie Walker, age 53 years, a resident of Pisgah community all of his life, passed away at the home of his brother, H. M. Walker, at 8 p.m. June 25, after a lingering illness of about five months. Mr. Walker was not married. He is survived by a brother, H. M. Walker, Toro; two sisters, Mrs. Darby Stringer, Carmenia, and Miss Eleyer Walker of Carmenia; a nephew, Allen Walker. Services were held at Pisgah church Thursday morning at 11 a.m., Rev. C. W. Williams of Many officiating. Interment was in Pisgah cemetery. ****************************************************************
