Haynes 19 Jul 1946 - Funeral rites for Mrs. F. O. Haynes, age 37 years, were held 10:30 Tuesday at Mt. Carmel Baptist church. Rev. Troy Wheeler of Natchitoches officiated, assisted by Rev. W. G. Bailey. Interment was in Mt. Carmel cemetery, Massingill funeral home in charge. Surviving are: husband and two sons of Houston, Texas; mother, Mrs. Ben Lockwood, Florien; sisters, Mrs. Aurie Dowden, Natchitoches, Mrs. Alto Ross, Sulphur Springs, Texas; brothers, Edward Lockwood, Natchitoches, Hoyt Lockwood, Shreveport, Grover Lockwood, Houston, Texas. H. Moores died suddenly at his home in Leesville Monday, July 8. Funeral services were held in Texarkana Wednesday afternoon, the 10th, at East funeral home chapel. The pastors of First Methodist church and First Presbyterian church officiated. Interment was in Rose Hill cemetery. Mr. Moores was born in Bowie county, Texas, finished high school in Texarkana, attended Austine college, Austin, Texas and Virginia Military institute, where he received his degree. He came to Zwolle when a young man and was connected with Sabine Lumber company. While there he married he married Miss Lurline Gay, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Gay. Later Mr. Moores went to Peason with Peavy-Wilson Lumber company and stayed there until the mill cut out and went with the Peavey Wilson Lumber company to Holopaw, Fla., in charge of the land, logging and timber. Just last year Mr. Moores and family moved to Leesville where up until the time of his death he was connected with Anderson-Post Lumber company in charge of their land and timber department. Mr. Moores was a member of the Methodist church and Masonic lodge. He had a host of friends wherever he resided. Surviving are: his widow, Mrs. Lurline Gay Moores; on son, W. H. H. Moores, Ill.; a grandson, George W. Sharpe, III; mother, Mrs. W. H. H. Moores, a brother, L. T. Moores in Texarkana, and a brother, F. M. Rev. W. G. Bailey officiated. Interment was in Antioch cemetery, Massingill funeral home directing. Surviving are: parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earnest Royal, Gandy; brothers, James of Gandy and Ralph, U. S. army overseas; sisters, Mrs. Reginald Evans, Fisher, Mrs. Tommy Devers, Taylor, Texas, Waver Jene Royal, Conroe, Texas, Shawnee, Nael and Earnestine Royal, all of Gandy. Bennett, Many, Mrs. Ora Pollard Shreveport, Mrs. Ada Bell Parks; sons, Ricahrd of Shreveport, Rufus of Many and Hartless, U. S. army overseas. Mr. Savell passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. E. P. Bennett of Many at 1 p.m. last Thursday.
