Andries, who died 8 p.m. Thursday at her home in Many, were held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Catholic church in Many. Mrs. Andries was a lifelong resident of Many. A gradate of St. Vincent academy in Shreveport, she was one of the first teachers in the school of Many, retiring after her marriage. She was a member of the St. John's Catholic church in Many and a charter member of the altar society. She was also a member of the Shreveport Court Castile 197, Catholic Daughters of America. Funeral arrangements were in charge of the Massingill funeral home in Many. Officiating at the rites were Rev. J. A. Benoit, pastor of St. John's church, and Monsignor John C. Vandegaer of Natchitoches. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were: Jack Jordan, Murray Jordan, Claude Andries, John Blake, Jr., Hubert Andries, Glen Andries and Gilbert Andries, Jr. Mrs. Andries is survived by six daughters, Mrs. C. G. Cloutier, Shreveport; Mrs. F. K. Perry, Bastrop; Miss Margueritte Andries, Many; Mrs. M. C. Hall, Dubach and Mrs. W. T. Postell and Miss Leonore Andries, New Orleans; five sons, P. D. Andries, Shreveport; J. G. Andries, Overton, Texas; A. B. Andries, Port Arhtur, Texas; W. H. Andries, Baton Rouge and J. A. Andries, Dallas, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Mary B. Cook 18 Jul 1947 - Funeral rites for W. T. Cook, age 77, were conducted at Antioch Baptist church near Florien 10 a.m. last Friday by Rev. R. L. Green. He died in a Shreveport hospital following a brief illness. Interment was in Antioch cemetery under direction Massingill funeral home. Interment was in Many cemetery under direction Massingill funeral home. Pallbearers were: J. M. Abington, D. C. Abington, T. M. Phillips, Henry Vines, O. A. Horn and J. M. Belisle. Mr. Watson died in Shreveport Saturday. He was a resident of Many since 1937 and at one time was author of a column published in The Sabine Index "dubbed" The Arkansas Traveler.
