McCollister, age 25 years, were held Sunday evening at the Old Pleasant Hill Baptist church at 2 p.m. Rev. Martin of Anacoco officiated, Massingill funeral home in charge. McCollister was instantly killed in a truck accident 11:30 last Wednesday night near Florien. He was home of a 60-day furlough from the European theater of war, having been a prisoner of the German government 3 1/2 months. He had been home about five weeks.
