Mrs. Gertrude Dowden Key

  Mrs. Gertrude Dowden Key of Many, died Saturday, December 17,
1983, at 8:30 p.m., in the Sabine Medical Center, following an
extended illness. Mrs. Key was 90 years of age.

  Funeral services for Mrs. Key were held at 2 p.m., Monday,
December 19, at the Alford Heights Baptist Church, where she was
a member for many, many years, Rev. Earl Marr, Rev. Dean
Crittenden, and Rev. Joe Don Franklin officiated. Interment was
in the Fort Jesup Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction
of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  She is survived by one son, Clarence J. Key, Many; one daughter,
Mrs. Lovie Cotton, Many; eight grandchildren; 17 great
grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
