All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Reba (Mrs. Bill) Koppen Reba (Mrs. Bill) Koppen, 82, died Friday, Dec. 29, 2000, at the Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, Minn. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 2, at the Augustana Lutheran Church in Gibbon, Minn., with interment following at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, on Wednesday, Jan. 3. Reba was born on February 14, 1918, in Many, to Eugene and Mary (Knippers) Horn. She attended school in Mount Carmel. On Aug. 21, 1946, she married William Koppen at the Trinity Lutheran Church Parsonage in Winthrop. They lived all their lives in Gibbon, where she was a homemaker. Reba was active in many church groups, and also was a 4-H leader in Sibley County for many years. She was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church, and a past member of Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband, William "Bill" Koppen of Gibbon, Minn.; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Steve Wilson of West Lafayette, Ind., and Kristi Koppen and husband Peter Terch of Coon Rapids; and three grandchildren. Koppen was preceded in death by her parents; two grandchildren; three sisters; and two brothers.
