Funeral services was under the direction of the Roberts Funeral Home of DeRidder with Rev. W. T. Moses officiating through the loving kindness and tender mercies of God. Bro. Kelly was permitted to live to a ripe old age. He like many other pioneer citizens, fought the rugged battle to held make possible some of the blessings of freedom and Christian principles, that we have today. My acquaintance with Mr. Kelly and family and the fellowship that I have had with them during my year of pastoral work at Pisgah has been very sweet and inspiring because of the Christian spirit that the home afforded. Mr. Kelly was born March 14, 1862, died Sept. 29, 1940. He is survived by his wife, 3 boys, 6 girls, 24 grandchildren. 6 great grandchildren and a host of friends to mourn his death.
