Kelly Sr., 57, of Florien, died at 4:20 p.m., Friday, May 25, in Fraser's Hospital in Many. He was a truck driver. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jewel Phelps Kelly of Florien; two sons, J. B. Kelly Jr. of Belvedere, S. C., and Charles Kelly of Fort Smith, Ark.; one daughter, Mrs. Karen Buxton of Oakdale; one brother, Lee J. Kelly of Orange, Tex.; three sisters, Mrs. Lottie Jackson of Oklahoma City, Okla.; Mrs. Laverne Hays of Bridge City, Tex., and Mrs. Elene Carnahan of Lake Charles; two half sisters, Mrs. Pearl Palmer, and Mrs. Edwin McMillian of Many; and 12 grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 4 p.m., Sunday, May 27, in the Pisgah Baptist Church in Toro, with Revs. O. J. Johnson, and Aubrey Boswell officiating. Burial was in the Pisgah cemetery, under direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville.
