Officiating was the Rev. Billy O. Smith, pastor of Southside Baptist Church. Burial was in Springridge Cemetery in Pleasant Hill. Mrs. Killgore died at 12:20 a.m., Friday, May 20, at Physicians and Surgeons Hospital, after a long illness. A native of Mitchell, Mrs. Killgore had lived in Shreveport for 24 years. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church, and was retired from Kroger's Big Chain Cafeteria. Survivors include her husband, Joseph C. Killgore; one son, Johnny Williams of Converse; one daughter, Mrs. Janice Chandler of Bossier City; her mother, Mrs. Lula Burton of Pelican; three brothers, Homer Burton of Pelican, Bobby Burton of Okeechobee, Fla., and Clarence Burton of Houston, Tex.; three sisters, Mrs. Ruby Ford of Pelican, Mrs. Lillian Davis of Belmont, and Mrs. Myrtle L. Johns of Sanford, Fla.; six grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Pallbearers were John Williams, T. J. Bowman, G. E. Bowman, Ray Fisher, W. R. Welborn, and W. T. Killgore.
