Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 15, at Antioch Baptist Church, with interment following at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Ward 2. The Rev. Hearron, and the Rev. Homer Fonderen officiated. Survivors include his widow, Sandee Killian of Florien; father, James "Toug" A. Killian, Sr. of Florien; mother, Mary Champion of Florien; two sons, James "Trey" A. Killian, III, and Samuel "Curtis" Killian, both of Florien; three brothers, Steve Champion, and Vernon Champion, both of Florien, and Bailey Killian of Houston, Texas; one sister, Nora Springer of Florien; maternal grandmother, Nora E. Sanders of Shreveport; stepmother, Martha Killian of Florien; two step sisters, Denese Filipi of Pineville, and Renee Stiles of Canada; one step brother, Robert Griffin of Calvin; step grandmother, Ruth Lowe of Calvin; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends.
