The Sabine Index - Ben Keene

  18 May 1956 - Funeral services for Ben Keene, 70, who passed
away at Pleasant Hill Tuesday May 8 was conducted at 10 a.m.
Thursday, May 10 at Spring Ridge Baptist church with N. Aulds and
Rev. J. C. Salley officiating. Interment was in Spring Ridge
cemetery under the direction of Warren Funeral Home.

  Survivors are wife, Mrs. Ben Keene of Marthaville, sons, C. H.
of El Dorado, C. J. of Marthaville, A. L. of Crosby, Texas;
daughters, Mrs. Emmie Miles of Pleasant Hill, Mrs. C. W. Shaw of
Zwolle, Mrs. Billy Singletary of Natchitoches, Mrs. Bennie
Ferguson of Shreveport, Mrs. Helen Thornhill of Shreveport, Mrs.
Jacklan Honea of Shreveport, and Mrs. Lucille Greer of
Marthaville, 22 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Johnny Murray, Jack Brown, Francis Brown, Norman
Waddie, Odie Lilly and Douglas Johnson.
