Mr. Alto Lee "A. L." Keene

  Mr. Alto Lee "A. L." Keene, 84, of Dayton, Texas, died Thursday,
Sept. 24, at San Jacinto Hospice Center in Baytown, Texas.

  A graveside service was held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 27, at
Spring Ridge Cemetery in Pleasant Hill, under the direction of
Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton.

  A native of Marthaville, he lived in the Dayton area 45 years,
and retired as a pumper for General Crude Oil Co.

  Survivors include his widow, Arlene J. Johnson Keene of Dayton;
three sons, Rocky Keene of Baytown, Texas, Richard W. Keene of
Mineola, and Benny J. Keene of Dayton; one daughter, Mary Ann
Houghton of Baytown, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 10 great
grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

  Memorials may be made to San Jacinto Hospice Center, 1101 Decker
Drive, Baytown, Texas 77520.
