All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Effie Ella Knippers Funeral services for Mrs. Effie Ella Knippers, 83, of Provencal, were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 30, 1996, in the Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home Chapel of Natchitoches, with the Rev. James Whitehead officiating. Burial followed in the New Cedron Cemetery, Vowells Mill. Mrs. Knippers died at 11:10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 27, at Schumpert Medical Center of Shreveport. Mrs. Knippers was a native of Vowells Mill, and a resident of Provencal. She was a member of the Provencal United Pentecostal Church, and she was a homemaker. Survivors include one son, Reuben Knippers; and one daughter, Mary Ruth Roberts, both of them from Provencal; one sister, Ethel Flennigan of Hobbs, N. M.; and one brother, George Slaughter Jr. of New Jersey; along with four grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
