Mr. Knippers, 84, died suddenly Friday, Sept. 24. Burial was in Shady Grove Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Henry Knippers of Many; one son, James W. Knippers of Lake Charles; four daughters, Mrs. Nellie Weeks of Vidor, Texas, Mrs. Rosa Freeman of Florien, Mrs. Isbell Moore of Victoria, Texas, and Mrs. Marie Shelton of Shreveport; 17 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Gary Knippers, Glen Hall, Clifford Starks, Dewey Foster, Sidney Moore, Bobby McComic, Gene Allen, and Lynn Knippers.
