The Sabine Index - George King

  11 Feb 1938 - Funeral services for George King, 81 years old,
who died in an Alexandria hospital Sunday, were held Tuesday
morning at 10 o'clock at the family residence with Rev. J. B.
Williams officiating.

  Mr. King is survived by is widow and one brother, Johnnie Lee
King, of Houston, Texas.

  Mr. King was from long-lifed people.  His mother died at the
age of 88 from the effects of a fall.

  The nearest relatives attending the funeral were his nephew
and nieces, Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Lee King, Mrs. Mary Bennett
and Mrs. J. W. Davidson of Hemphill, Texas, and a cousin, Mrs.
Carl English of Robeline.

  Mrs. Kings relatives attending the funeral were her sisters,
Mrs. C. W. Christian, Mrs. Ruth Ross; her brother and wife, Mr.
and Mrs. R. P. Whittlesey of Tyler, Texas; her nephews and
wives, Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Whittlesey of Rodessa and Mr. and
Mrs. Raymond Whittlesey of Kilgore, Texas.
