L. D. Davis of Many and the Rev. C. A. Lilly, the pastor of Red Land Baptist Church who was the pastor in charge, officiating. Burial followed in the New Jerusalem Cemetery under the direction of Jenkins Funeral Home. Survivors include his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Woods of Many and Mrs. Ida Jones of Pasacana, Calif.; four sons, O. J. and Robert King of Many, Glen King of Dallas, Tex. and Archie King of California; one god child, Annette; six sisters, Mrs. Edna Holden and Leona Holbert of Many, Mrs. Essie Midkiff and Alice Andrews of Woodville, Tex., Mrs. Harriett Atkins of Koonce, Tex. and Mrs. Millie Willis of Pasadena, Calif.; 33 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were James Fredrick King, Robert Gary King, James Arnold King, Charles Edwards Woods, Clifton Newton, Mack Arthur Newton and Archie Charles.
