Services were held at Union Belmont Baptist Church at 10 a.m., Jan. 22, 1988. Rev. Johnny Garrett, Rev. Lee Dixon, rev. Paul Ferrant and Guy Burr officiated the services. Interment was at Beulah Cemetery near Marthaville under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. She is survived by her husband, Rev. J. P. King of Belmont; one son, Robert L. King Sr. of Belmont; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Franklin of Mansfield and Mrs. Nell Stephens of Shreveport; two brothers, William (Bill) Prothro of Natchitoches and A. A. Prothro, also of Natchitoches and A. A. Prothro, also of Natchitoches; one sister, Mrs. Vivian Crow of Natchitoches; 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren, also numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers included Drew Lewing, Bobby Dale Armour, Jr., Cary Lee Franklin, Ernest Stephens, Jr., Ross Miller, Jr., Edgar Stephens, Kenny Parks, and Olin Dean Dyess. Honorary Pallbearers were Rudolph Haley, Jim Peterson, Oliver Brian and Billy Maxey.
