King (Photo) Funeral services for Mr. Lee R. King, 72, were held Monday, March 12, at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in his hometown of Jena, with interment following at Pine Hill Cemetery in Urania. The Rev. Dennis LaFleur officiated. Mr. King died peacefully, Friday, March 9, 2001, at his home in Many. He was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church in Negreet, a veteran of World War II, and the Korean Conflict, and a member of the Masonic Lodge, and the Shriners in Sulphur. He worked in Sulphur, before retiring to Many. Survivors include his widow, Charlcie; daughters, Lisa Pigott, and Karen Long; sons-in-law, Craig Pigott, and Christ Long; step children, Randal Foster, and Anita Slaughter; grandchildren, Dana, Luke, Joleigh; six step grandchildren; and four step great grandchildren.
