Officiating was Rev. David Permenter, pastor of First Baptist Church, Grand Cane, La. He was assisted by Rev. Richard Plunket, pastor of Beulah Baptist Church, Lula Community, La. Mr. King, a carpenter and Millwright, died Monday, Nov. 8, 1993, on his farm, after a hunting accident. He was born in Joaquin, Tex., where he formerly resided, and was a resident of the Hunter Community, La. Mr. King was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the American Quarter Horse Association, and the American Paint Horse Association. He is survived by his wife, Linda King of Hunter Community, La.; one daughter, Buffy King Malmay and husband Bruce of Many, La.; two brothers, Billy Hugh King of Coppars Cove, Tex., and Ronald Millard King of Joaquin, Tex.; a special cousin, Burt Brawley and wife Gloria of Shreveport, La.; a host of other relatives and friends.
