Odean Odis Koonce

  Funeral services for Odean Odis Koonce, 75, of Hornbeck, were
held at 10 a.m., April 1, in the Hixson Chapel in Leesville.

  Rev. Bobby McMullough officiated. Interment was in Prewitts
Chapel Cemetery in Hornbeck, with military services provided by
D.A.V. Chapter #21 Memorial Squad of Many, under the direction of
Hixson Funeral of Leesville.

  Mr. Koonce was a native of Hornbeck, and a retired Civil Service
employee.

  Survivors include his widow, Avis Koonce of Hornbeck; two
daughters, Sue Ann Byles and husband Tommy Ray of Many, and Diane
Dowden and husband Kenneth of Hornbeck; three sisters, Eva
Newsome of Vidor, Tex., Dorothy Hall, and Elsa Chance, both of
Hornbeck; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren; a host
of nieces and nephews.
